Princess Hours (Goong)

The Royal Couple - Crown Prince Lee Shin & Crown Princess Shin Chaekyeong
As I was reading the comments about Princess Hours or also known as The Imperial Househould (Goong), it is by far, one of the most popular dramas of MBC. It was broadcast from January 11 to March 30, 2006 on Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation.

According to TNS Media, Princess Hours was the tenth most popular drama of 2006. Due to the success of the first season, a second season was to be produced. However, it will no longer be produced due to the withdrawal of two main actors.

Witch Yoo Hee

I've seen the Tagalog version of this drama and since I didn't finished it when the series aired here in The Philippines, I did find some ways to finish this and I'm glad  I did. Amazing story and love the casts! ♥

Synopsis:

Ma Yoo Hee (Han Ga In) is the executive of an advertising company. She would never be caught dead wearing make-up and only dresses in black. Her hairstyle and glasses are very business like looks, her only enjoyment in life appears to be the times when she's criticising everything and anyone. All of her employees and co-workers fear her and she is constantly talked about when she's not around. Her stern and harsh nature has earned her the nickname 'witch' When it comes to romance she is hopeless. No matter how many blind dates she has, not one has ever led to a second. The reason for this is her negativity and her inability to loosen up and express herself. She is, however, completely oblivious of her faults and cannot comprehend why she is so bad when it comes to love.

The Moon Embracing The Sun

I've been really hooked with this drama now! I'm watching it daily in Tagalog version. What makes this drama very interesting to me is the fact that the king (Kim Soo Hyun) is very cute. And of course, the Korean culture is very pretty interesting alone.

Learning Korean Through KakaoTalk

Hi guys! This blog has been idle for a while. Been too busy lately and most of the time, I'm on my phone; chatting with  friends, Instagram and a lot more.

Lately, I've been hooked with this Korean messaging app; KakaoTalk. It's an app that you can use for free text and call all over the world. That is if your friends and family are using it too. Don't worry, KakaoTalk is free to download.

Since I am trying to learn Korean and Hangul (Korean alphabet), as much as possible I'd like to connect with Korean people too to become my friends. In that way, I can win friends and I can also learn Korean by frequently keeping in touch with them.

Dongsaeng, HELP!!!!
Hahaha. My phone can write/type hangul and I somehow recall some of the characters in the Korean alphabet, but not all. I can read few hangul words too... but not really that good.

So, there's this one time... I made friends with a Korean girl through Kik (another messaging app) and she greeted me in Korean at first because she thought I am a Korean.. and since I got confused of what she has sent me, I ask another friend in KakaoTalk to help me translate it. hahaha. Silly of me!

But, I find it really cool. Technology is a really great help for us to learn anything we want to learn nowadays.

Thank you dongsaeng for helping me out! :) comments

Korean - Filipino Married Couple

Haven't watched any Korean dramas lately because of being so busy with my work and I was been sicky too. So, I met this lovely Filipina blogger who is now living in Seoul, South Korea with his Korean husband. While I was so busy with everything, I still manage to read her blog posts in her blog: Lanie in Korea and watched her videos too in her YouTube channel.

Marry Me, Mary!

Mary (Moon Geun-Young) is a young woman with the energy of the sun. She looks like her late mother, but her hot temper comes straight from her deadbeat father (Park Sang-Myeon). Her father always makes trouble as a failed businessman, but Mary loves him dearly, despite his faults. Because Mary can't afford to pay her college tuition fees, she temporarily stops attending school. Without any special skills, Mary works odd jobs just to put food on the table and to keep from getting too far behind on the rent.

One day, Mary's father proposes that Mary be wed to a man named Jung-In to pay off their debts. When Mary hears of her father's plan she devise a plan of her own. Mary takes fake wedding pictures with her new friend Mu-Gyul (Jang Geun-Suk), whom she just met over the last couple of days. She sends the pictures to her father's cellphone with the message that this is the man she loves and they've gotten married. Unfortunately for Mary, her deadbeat father has already registered a marriage certificate on her behalf with Jung-In. Torn between having her father prosecuted for fraud or becoming a 24-year-old divorcee, Mary is somewhat relieved when Jung-In proposes that Marry spend 100 days of marriage with both men and decide with whom she wants to live.

Hayate The Combat Butler

"Xiao Sa" Ling Qisa is an unlucky teenager who worked since childhood to make ends meet due to his parents' irresponsible behavior. On that Christmas Day, he got fired from both his daytime and nighttime jobs, and also finds out that his parents were running from the mafia, leaving behind a massive gambling debt on his shoulders. They even collected his last pay from his nighttime job's boss to escape. Whilst running away from the debt collectors, he ends up meeting Xiao Zhi. From his encounter with the mafia, they said that he didn't even have the guts to be a bad guy as he didn't dare pick up the knife and kill them (to relieve him of his debt). Hence, Xiao Sa thought that since being a filial son and good student didn't help him at all, he should just be a bad guy and kidnap a rich heir/heiress and demand ransom to pay off his debts. However, due to some misunderstandings, he ended up saving Xiao Zhi from a few thugs who tried to pick her up. Xiao Zhi thought that he was confessing as Xiao Sa said that he needed her (literally) when in actual fact he meant that he needed her to agree to him kidnapping her. However, as he went to call Xiao Zhi's family to demand ransom, he backed out at the last moment. During the process, kidnappers came and captured Xiao Zhi while Xiao Sa was away making the call. Xiao Sa then risked his life to save her, and Xiao Zhi ended up hiring him as her butler, and slowly fell in love with him; not always noticing how much he influenced her and how she overcame many of her fears with his help.

Coffee House

What can I say? I was so hooked with this drama. Actually, I am always hooked when Kang Ji-hwan (강지환) is in it. He's beyond words to describe.

I was hooked with this one because Kang Ji-hwan's role here is a writer and I am an aspiring writer (anong konek? :D) so a guy who is a writer is a major turn-on for me.

Ham Eun-joong (함은정) is an amateur who doesn't have a job except for looking out for
their family's little coffee shop. Her sunbae (senior) helped her finding a job.
Actually, not sure if "finding" is the right word to use. Her sunbae knows Kang Ji-hwan and
he asked him to hire her but  sunbae will be the one providing the salary. But later on,
Ham Eun-joong find out about it. She was pretty mad about it that she went out and get
drunk.
